Thoughtful Design

Zero Energy Institute

Thoughtful Design means every Z-Haus is situated on its lot with a reverence to the sun, wind and orientation.  It also means that  "upgrades" like hardwood floors, tile, granite are standard, we know what you want so why create an artificially low price... simple.

When it comes to energy efficiency the Z-Haus stands among the few homes that can achieve a HERS rating below 30 (code is 100). Sealed plates, energy efficient framing, insulated headers, blown in wet cellulose are never seen but are felt every day of a New England winter.  Available Zip Wall R-Sheathing continuous insulation, triple pane windows, even Solar PV and Solar Thermal means your Z-Haus can be a near zero energy home... simple.
